During treatment, a highly purified hyaluronic acid gel is injected into the skin using ultra-fine needles or blunt cannulas. The gel binds water, restores volume, and smooths wrinkles immediately after treatment. At the same time, hyaluronic acid improves skin hydration and overall skin quality, leaving the complexion fresher and more youthful. Hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down by the body through natural metabolic processes, meaning the results are not permanent. How long the effects last depends on several factors, including skin type, metabolism, lifestyle, and the treated area. In highly mobile areas of the face, results typically last between six and twelve months. In less mobile regions, such as the chin or stable facial contours, results may last considerably longer. If desired or medically indicated, hyaluronic acid fillers can also be safely dissolved at any time using the enzyme Hyalase.

After treatment, mild swelling, redness, or tenderness at the injection site may occur temporarily. These reactions are normal and usually resolve completely within a few days. Serious side effects are very rare when the treatment is performed correctly by an experienced physician.
