Morpheus8 is an advanced aesthetic treatment device that uses a combination of microneedle fractionation and radiofrequency (RF) to improve skin rejuvenation and tightening. In this treatment, tiny microneedles are inserted into the skin to deliver targeted heat and radiofrequency energy. This causes targeted stimulation of the deeper layers of the skin, including subcutaneous fat and collagen. The combination of microneedling fractionation and radiofrequency stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin, resulting in firmer, smoother and more youthful looking skin.
Morpheus8 treatment can be used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin texture and firmness, minimize acne scars and refine pores. It can also be used to contour and firm certain areas of the body, such as the face, neck, décolleté, arms, abdomen and thighs. Morpheus8 is also excellent for stretch marks, pores and acne scars.
This concept is also known under the names Tixel, Secret RF, Infinity (Lutronic), Cellina, Endymed and others. The latest and most professional device for this combination treatment is called Morpheus8. Unlike all other devices, the Morpheus8 can treat the skin from very superficial to very deep (up to 8mm!). No other device penetrates so deeply into the skin. What's more, it is now possible to perform the treatment at different skin depths in the same session, which can lead to previously unattainable results.

Similar to microneedling, the treatment causes tiny micro-injuries in the skin layer, which stimulate the body's own repair mechanism and produce new collagen and elastin. In contrast to pure microneedling, the skin is also heated at the needle tips using radio frequency current. This leads to a contraction of the tissue fibers and thus to a tightening of the skin without any injury or irritation of the skin surface (epidermis), as can occur with other procedures such as fractional CO2 laser. The small channels created in the skin by microneedling can then be used to introduce firming and nourishing substances into the skin.
The treatment depths are usually combined in the same session, ranging from very superficial skin resurfacing to depths of 4-8mm under the skin. This allows results to be achieved with just a few treatments that were previously almost unimaginable. As a rule, the results last for 2-3 years.

Morpheus8 is a triple treatment that consists of:
A major advantage of this treatment is the short downtime, which can even be completely eliminated depending on the intensity of the treatment. However, the more results you want, the more "aggressive" the treatment has to be, which in some cases can result in reddening of the skin for a few days. There is no need to be afraid, though – we will inform you about all potential side effects from the outset, based on your wishes.
Before treatment
Each treatment begins with a detailed consultation, during which the treatment areas and the desired treatment goal are determined together with you.
Before the actual treatment, an anesthetic cream is applied so that you will feel (almost) nothing of the treatment.
Treatment
First, the skin is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, then the treatment head of the device is placed on the skin. Based on the principle of bipolar and monopolar radiofrequency, extremely fine needles are inserted into the predetermined skin depth and a heat pulse is emitted at the tip of the needle for milliseconds. Depending on the treatment goal and skin type, the penetration depth and intensity are individually adapted to you. The treatment is more or less noticeable depending on the intensity. In some cases, the treatment may be slightly painful – however, this pain subsides immediately.
Depending on the region, the treatment takes approx. 30-60 minutes (+ application time of the anesthetic cream). Depending on the treatment plan, the substances required for the desired effect, such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, etc., are then injected into your skin.
The quality of the treatment – i.e., the result – is completely independent of the practitioner, as it is the device and not the practitioner's particular skills that are responsible for the success of the treatment. All our specialists have been personally trained on Morpheus8 by Dr. Linde and undergo regular further training.
Follow-up treatment
No special aftercare is necessary. Depending on the intensity, the skin will be more or less reddened and you can apply make-up again after a few hours. It is important to avoid direct sunlight for 2-3 weeks immediately after the treatment.
The treatment usually consists of three sessions, which are carried out four weeks apart – more treatments may be necessary in individual cases. Treatment success can often be seen after the first session.
Unfortunately, the Morpheus8 device is very expensive to maintain (costs per treatment due to disposable material), which is why the costs are higher than those of other devices such as Tixel.
As an alternative to Morpheus8, you can also be treated with the Tixel, which costs about half as much.
Clinical studies suggest that Morpheus8® (fractional radiofrequency microneedling technology) can improve skin quality by stimulating collagen and elastin production in the deeper layers of the skin. Improvements in wrinkles, skin laxity, and uneven skin texture have been reported after only a few treatments.
In several clinical studies, patients reported firmer, smoother, and more even-looking skin. Results typically develop over several weeks and may vary depending on skin type, the initial condition, and the individual treatment goals.
Morpheus8 is generally considered a minimally invasive procedure with relatively little downtime. As with any medical treatment, however, the potential benefits and possible risks should always be carefully weighed during an individual medical consultation.
In October 2025, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a safety communication regarding radiofrequency microneedling (RF microneedling). The communication was prompted by reports of rare but potentially serious complications following treatment with RF microneedling devices. Reported adverse events include burns, scarring, nerve injuries, and unwanted loss of subcutaneous fat.
The FDA communication does not specifically refer to Morpheus8®, but rather to RF microneedling procedures in general. Nevertheless, we take this latest information into account during our consultations and when selecting the most appropriate treatment for each patient.
Particularly for facial skin tightening, we carefully evaluate whether the desired results can also be achieved using alternative technologies. These include, for example, Tixel® and the new XERF® system. The most suitable treatment depends on your skin condition, treatment goals, and the desired treatment intensity.
We have also noticed that some patients are currently more cautious about RF microneedling. We take these concerns seriously and discuss all available treatment options individually before every procedure. Morpheus8® remains a possible treatment option, but we do not use it routinely if comparable results can be achieved with a suitable alternative.
Each treatment zone is roughly the size of an A4 sheet of paper – the face, neck, or décolleté are each considered one zone. For optimal results, we recommend 3 sessions.
