A vein examination is always covered by your health insurance. Treatments for large varicose veins that are medically necessary are also reimbursed. Since we treat on an outpatient basis, the Swiss TarMed system applies – so it doesn’t matter whether you have basic, semi-private or private insurance. These differences only matter in a hospital inpatient setting.
Vein treatments are billed directly to your health insurance. You will receive an invoice, which you pass on to your insurer. Once you receive the reimbursement, you pay our invoice.
After a more extensive procedure such as vein treatment, we recommend taking two days off to rest and recover.
