Once your individual treatment plan has been drawn up, you will be prepared for the ultrasound lifting: Your make-up will be cleaned and the areas to be treated will be outlined.
As Ultherapy® is a skin tightening procedure without surgery, your skin may be slightly sensitive and slightly swollen after the treatment, but you will be fully socially acceptable and able to take part in sport. No special aftercare is required.
You will notice improved elasticity shortly after the Ultherapy® treatment. The regeneration of the skin, during which new collagen is formed, produces results after around two to three months. The actual tightening effect of Ultherapy® treatment is visible after six months and usually lasts for more than two years. The skin gains fresh, clear contours. It appears more radiant, firmer and more defined.
Studies at Northwestern University in Minnesota/USA have shown that 9 out of 10 patients showed a clinically significant lifting of the eyebrows after just one treatment. This result was confirmed by a panel of independent plastic surgeons and dermatologists through an anonymized test with photos of patients.
Slight redness and swelling may occur temporarily after the ultrasound lift. Sensitivity to pressure, numbness and, in rare cases, pain may occur in the treated problem areas. In very few cases, hematomas, blisters, herpes infections and open wounds may develop. However, all symptoms disappear within two weeks at the latest.
With increasing age, the skin loses its elasticity, the connective tissue weakens, skin spots and wrinkles form and the skin sags.
