Narrowing of the face

This is caused by the anatomical fat pads on the face, which are more pronounced than desired. Fat cells located in the cheek and chin area are considered to be particularly stubborn. They are usually genetic, but are also influenced by diet.

For this reason, the patient’s weight is always assessed at the start of every treatment. However, many of our patients are of normal weight, so dietary measures do not promise a solution.

"Chubby cheeks" can have various causes: Often it is not excessive fat deposits, but underdevelopment of the cheekbones and chin as well as a prominent chewing muscle that take away the "V shape" of the face.

With the "3 points" treatment, the face can be changed quite easily in such cases: firstly, by accentuating the zygomatic arches with fillers (hyaluronic acid); secondly, by narrowing the pronounced chewing muscle with botulinum toxin and thirdly, by extending the tip of the chin forwards with fillers (hyaluronic acid).

The treatment takes about 30 minutes, can be performed painlessly in twilight sleep if desired and lasts for at least a year.

In some cases, however, excessive fat deposits cause the round expression on the face. In such cases, it makes sense to remove or reduce these fat pads. Various methods are available for this.

The most minimally invasive method of facial contouring is the use of HIFU/Ultherapy, focused ultrasound. Here, the face is scanned with a handpiece, whereby ultrasound waves meet under the skin at a depth of approx. 5mm at a point which then becomes very hot. This melts the fat and the fat pad becomes smaller.

The disadvantage of this method is that the HIFU may have no effect. Although the treatment can be repeated several times, the result varies from person to person and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

Treatment with HIFU or Ulthera takes 30 minutes and is painless, there are no restrictions. You can return to work, exercise, etc. immediately afterwards.
