Men
Not only is appearance important for individual well-being, scientific studies have also shown that there is a clear correlation between physical attractiveness and professional success.
It is no longer enough to spend numerous hours a week in the fitness center. Today's man wants to smell good, look good and feel good. Men's cosmetics are more in demand than ever, and sales of growth-promoting hair products have exploded in recent years.
More and more men are opting for aesthetic treatments to look the way they want to look. The proportion of men coming to us is also steadily increasing. Last year, this proportion was over 35%.
The most popular treatments for men are:
- Eyelid surgery – This form of correction, known as "blepharoplasty", is increasingly requested to give the face a fresher and more youthful appearance. The main focus is on correcting the upper eyelids, but occasionally the procedure is also requested on the lower eyelids.
- Facial correction – Corrections of the ears, nose, chin or even the entire face are typical operations. These procedures can be minimally invasive using filling materials, botulinum toxin or autologous fat, but often require a scalpel. Depending on the desired appearance, a face lift, forehead lift, ear/nose plastic surgery or chin augmentation may be required. The appearance of the skin (acne scars, sun damage) can be significantly improved with a deep peel and laser. A fresher, more youthful appearance is what you want.
- Body sculpting
- Male breasts – Many men have suffered from an abnormal – and aesthetically unpleasant - increase in fatty tissue on the chest since puberty. This condition is also known as "gynecomastia". Around 50 percent of all men suffer from this benign condition. The reduction of the male breast is referred to in medical terminology as "lipomastia" and is performed via minimal skin openings on the nipples and in the armpit area.
- Disruptive fat deposits – Genetic and hormonal factors, as well as age and diet, often lead to diet-resistant fat deposits in men that cannot be influenced by exercise or diet. Liposuction is the treatment of choice for this. The procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia and you can return to work the very next day. The most frequently desired areas are the abdomen, the lateral "love handles" (waist), the male breast and the double chin. Liposuction is certainly the most popular aesthetic operation for men.
- Six-pack – Most men want a so-called "six-pack". Of course, a normal weight and sport (muscle building and shaping) are the basic prerequisites for this. This wish can be fulfilled by injecting autologous fat, hyaluronic acid or through special sculpting during liposuction. A "six-pack in your lunch break" has thus become a reality.
- Muscle building – Muscle building can also be helped. The injection of hyaluronic acid or autologous fat often achieves results that can otherwise only be achieved through many weeks of training and the use of anabolic steroids. Depending on the area of the body, implants are also used surgically. The most frequently requested areas are the calves, pectoral muscles or biceps.
- Skin tightening – Surgical skin tightening is worth mentioning, which not only focuses on the buttocks and stomach, but also on the upper arms and thighs. Neck sculpting is another treatment requested by men.
- Permanent hair removal – Many men suffer from thick hair – especially on the chest and back. What used to be considered masculine and sexy is now unsightly and annoying. New laser procedures such as IPL flash lamp technology with SHR technology allow permanent hair removal using laser light pulses. 4-6 treatments are often sufficient to achieve a permanently hair-free area.
- Spider veins – Men are increasingly bothered by small visible veins on their legs (spider veins). Laser technology and foam sclerotherapy achieve excellent aesthetic results here.
- Sweating – Excessive sweating on the face or body stresses many men. Treatment with botulinum toxin can provide rapid relief and is effective against sweating on the face, under the armpits, on the back and on the chest.
- Tattoo removal – Men are increasingly regretting the sins of youth in the form of tattoos on parts of the body that are suddenly no longer socially acceptable. State-of-the-art laser procedures allow tattoos to be removed without scars or side effects.
