Polylactate (PLA), also known as polylactic acid, has been used for many years in many medical products such as thread lifts, implants for bones or skin threads for operations. As a result, the effect of PLA in the human body has been very well studied. In aesthetics, polylactate is used in the biomodulator Sculptra, for example, and the company Sinclair has also recently launched the product Lanluma.
While Sculptra is primarily known for its use in the face, Lanluma X was developed exclusively for modeling the buttocks. Dr. Linde was involved in the development and market launch of Lanluma as a member of Sinclair 's Advisory Board.
Based on initial experience, Lanluma is expected to show its effect more quickly than Sculptra and also achieve more volume. However, precise studies on this are still pending.
Lanluma X is a natural collagen activator, a substance that has been used in surgery for decades. Lanluma X is not a "filler" that breaks down again, but stimulates the body to build up its own new tissue - i.e. the body's own volume. The result of the treatment is therefore always completely natural, the skin becomes firm and full.
The advantage of Lanluma X is that the substance consists of specially fine particles dissolved in water, which are injected into the subcutaneous fatty tissue. This means that they remain exactly where they have been injected and only work there, without migrating through the tissue. This is precisely why treatment with Lanluma X is so safe: the tissue always feels completely natural without "lumps" or hardening. There are no side effects apart from possible bruising from the injection, which disappears on its own after a few days.
The treatment takes about half an hour and is painless thanks to the use of local anesthesia and ultrashort sleep. Immediately afterwards, patients sometimes feel a slight burning sensation, but nothing else. After just 2 days, you can return to sports or sunbathing.
Normally 600-1200 mg Lanluma X is injected per treatment. We recommend 600 mg of substance on both sides as an initial treatment, corresponding to a volume of almost 100 ml. In most cases, 2-4 treatments at intervals of 4 weeks are necessary to achieve the desired result. The body needs around 4-8 weeks after each treatment to build up its own volume. Once the result has been achieved, it lasts for 2-4 years (or even longer) and usually only needs a little refreshing.
