What are fillers and which products are used

The hyaluronic acid used by the BEAUTYCLINIC is a stabilized gel, biodegradable, of non-animal origin, which is produced under carefully controlled conditions using a patented process from the company Q-Med (Galderma). Three products are available for optimal wrinkle treatment/facial shaping: Restylane® for the elimination of wrinkles and for lip augmentation; Restylane®/Restylane® Touch for the correction of fine, superficial lines, for example around the eyes, mouth, on the forehead or laugh lines; and Perlane® for contouring the cheeks and chin, correcting deep wrinkles and for lip augmentation. In addition to Galderma products, Dr. Linde also uses hyaluronic acids from Allergan (Juverderm) and Anteis. Here, too, he has a similar product range at his disposal.

The three products differ in the size of the gel particles. The products are often combined with each other to achieve optimal results.

Wrinkle injections with hyaluronic acid

The particles of the hyaluronic acid gel are very slowly dissolved by the body after injection. As the gel breaks down, it is replaced by water. The less concentrated the gel becomes, the more water it can absorb. This is one of the main reasons why treatments with hyaluronic acid remain effective for so long. After complete breakdown, the gel is excreted from the body unnoticed.

Treatment with hyaluronic acid leads to an immediate result. Pre-testing of the skin is not necessary and the hyaluronic acid injection procedure takes just a few minutes. The hyaluronic acid injection is slightly uncomfortable, but not very painful. Therefore, pain relief is usually not required for treatment with Restylane®, but local anesthesia can be applied to any area if desired. This is advisable from the outset when sculpting lips.

During the hyaluronic acid treatment, the crystal-clear hyaluronic acid gel is injected under the skin in tiny amounts using a very thin needle. Immediately after injection, the gel gives the skin a natural volume and smoothes wrinkles.

The special composition of the Q-Med gel allows vital nutrients, oxygen and hormones to move freely between the gel particles. The result is healthy, natural-looking skin.

After the injection, certain treatment-related reactions such as swelling, redness, pain, itching, discoloration and tenderness may occur at the treatment site. Such reactions usually disappear by themselves after 1-2 days. Other side effects are very rare. Reactions of a suspected allergic nature, consisting of swelling in the treatment area, have only been observed in around one in 2000 patients. Redness, hypersensitivity of the skin and, even more rarely, acne-like skin irregularities can also occur very rarely. These reactions may become visible with a delay of 2-4 weeks. After 2 weeks, they almost always subside on their own.

The effect of hyaluronic acid is long-lasting, but not permanent. How long the result of a hyaluronic acid treatment lasts is very individual and depends on many factors such as age, skin type, lifestyle (nicotine?) and muscle activity. Of course, the experience of the doctor also plays a decisive role in the result.

Most patients decide to have hyaluronic acid injections 6-12 months after their first wrinkle or facial correction. For hyaluronic acid treatment of the lips, a top-up is usually required after six months. Hyaluronic acid injections can be repeated as often as required. Hyaluronic acid is often used at the BEAUTYCLINIC in combination with BTX. As a result, the results last considerably longer and it is not uncommon for follow-up treatments to only be necessary after 1-2 years.

Advantages of Hyaluronic Acid Treatment:

  • fast treatment
  • no visible side effects
  • no significant complications

Disadvantages of Hyaluronic Acid Treatment:

  • expensive materials

Cost point: The cost of a nasolabial fold treatment with hyaluronic acid starts at CHF 300.00. The cost of a wrinkle treatment with hyaluronic acid is CHF 300.00 for 1ml (enough for an upper lip, frown line or sunken triangle next to the corners of the mouth, for example).

New possibilities for injections with hyaluronic acid

Wrinkle injections with hyaluronic acid have been known and established for years. Hyaluronic acid is very suitable for adding volume or "building up" sunken areas of skin.

New techniques now make it possible to treat other areas of the body as well:

Inverted nipples of the breast: This nipple treatment was previously only possible through surgical measures. The hyaluronic acid injection is injected directly under the skin near the nipple. This "lifts" the nipple upwards, where it then remains even without stimulation. The effect lasts from several weeks to a year.

Earlobes: Earlobes often crease with a deep longitudinal groove, sometimes also a transverse groove. The hyaluronic acid injection restores volume to the earlobe and the wrinkle disappears – immediately. The effect lasts for weeks to months.

Noses: Patients are increasingly asking for an alternative to nose surgery, and with Dr. Linde's new LT technique, sagging nasal tips can be easily lifted with the help of a hyaluronic acid treatment, while irregularities in the bridge of the nose (hump) can be evened out at the same time. The effect lasts for weeks to months. The treatment is available from CHF 300.00.

FAQs on the topic Hyaluronic acid (filler)

Hyaluronic acid – effective in wrinkle treatment

Hyaluronic acid is used effectively for the treatment of wrinkles. If you are interested in wrinkle treatment with hyaluronic acid, you can contact BEAUTYCLINIC in Switzerland at any time.

Wrinkles develop with age and are perceived as bothersome by many. Their formation is due to factors such as the loss of connective tissue volume, the effect of gravity, and repetitive facial expressions. While dynamic wrinkles are typically treated with BTX, medium to deep wrinkles and larger tissue defects often require other solutions. In these cases, hyaluronic acid is an ideal option.

Wrinkle treatment with hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan that naturally occurs in the human body. It is a component of connective tissue and plays a role in water retention. In aesthetic medicine, hyaluronic acid is available in various formulations, which differ in molecular size and cross-linking. The product is chosen to suit the area being treated. At BEAUTYCLINIC, only tested and certified hyaluronic acid products are used. Hyaluronic acid is not only suitable for treating wrinkles but also for enhancing lips and restoring facial volume.
