This excess skin and muscle can be effectively corrected under local anesthesia, and protruding fat pads are removed. The incision is made in the eyelid crease so that the scars are barely visible. Depending on the findings and your wishes, the procedure is performed on the upper eyelid only, the lower eyelid only or a combination of both.
The eyelid lift takes about 1 (upper or lower eyelid) to 2 (upper and lower eyelid) hours and is performed under local anesthesia in twilight sleep. At the end of the operation, a pressure bandage is applied and the eye is cooled. The first follow-up check is carried out on the first day after the procedure, and the wound is checked again on the 5th-10th day with removal of the stitches. The development is recorded in a photo documentation after 6 weeks and 6 months.
As a "black eye" can occur during an eyelid lift, we recommend that you take a break of 1-2 weeks.
